We have a prblem when trying to open URL links from Lobbies in App9
WHen we click the link, we get
and users are stuck. They can get round it by cpying the url and pasting into a browser, but that is a faff on.
If we put the same link/URL into a menu item, that works perfectly, because the menu setting has to ption to use an external browser
I can only assume IFS was written to use Internet Explorer and knows nothing about other browers.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get Lobby links to open in another browser?
Thanks
Roger

Raising the query actually gave me the answer from previous queries by others.
The answer… tough. IFS9 is hard coded to use a chopped own version of Internet Explorer and as soon as you try to use it, Microsoft says no, use something newer. So.. the solution we ended up with was to put the link on the Lobby that points to another page, and THAT page has the menu link to the External site
e.g.
Lobby link points to the Procurement page
Under the Procurement menu item, you put your link to (e.g. Sharepoint) with it marked touse External Browser
Voila. User has an extra click but it works. They can open use guides in 2 clicks
