We are currently in the process of beginning our migration to the IFS environment and as apart of that, we would like to use IFS Update Anlayzer.

However the application (the most recent, 10.020) crashes immediately upon launch.
After investigating we found that it is because it requires TLS1.0 to be enabled, which for security reasons we have disabled across our environment.

Not only is TLS 1.0 end of life, it will be disabled by default on Windows by the end of the year.

Is there an configuration option to allow it to use TLS 1.2+ or an upcoming update that will rememdy this?

Is anybody from IFS looking into this? Please do not leave us in the dark as this is important to us.

Thanks

Hi @bquintanilla , @seidf

Sorry for the late reply,

ALE team who owns the Update Analyzer Tool is working on the  Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions upgrade to 1.2 version on the tool, as  TLS 1.0 and 1.1 going to end support by 31st of October 2024 as announced by Microsoft

ALE team will do a new Update Analyzer Tool release to Developer Portal by 31st of March 2024 with the TLS version upgrade to 1.2. So the upcoming tool release will remediate this issue.
