We currently have 2 Apps 10 IFS instances on the same application server and wanted to set up separate crystal web services, however, when we download the Crystal Web service from the add-ons area and try running it we only get the remove/modify option and no install option.

Can anybody please advise.

Hi,

You can manually create another instance for the second IFS environment easily

  1. Create a copy of the current Crystal reporting web service folder in your www document root
  2. Change below highlighted values according to your corresponding IFS environment including encrypted IFS internal user passwords (those can be found in instance configuration xml file inside ifs_home) OR you can replace ifs-crystal-config.xml file from the one available in CrystalWebService_64bit_<instance_name>.zip

  3. Open IIS management console and refresh the web application root, when you see the newly added directory convert it to a web application using dot net application pool

  4. Change the system parameters pointing to this newly created crystal web service and you should be able to generate reports then

@Ruchira

Thank you so much for replying, much appreciated.

You have confirmed the same steps I had carried out previously, I just wanted to double-check.
