IEE client- layout of form window

After each installation , customer complains that layout of IEE client windows which is done via personalized layer is gone. As per my understanding user profiles not effected  with installation unless something is added on base profile. Any idea why this happens?

Hi @wahelk,

Please check if the relevant profiles can be found in following directory in IFS Home:

\\<IFS_HOME>\repository\server\profiles\

When you run the installer, in the “Database import and deploy” screen, if the profile section is checked, then any of the profiles in above location will be imported to the database. If the files in the directory are not up to date, then it will overwrite the more recent changes. 

Therefore, you can do one of the following

  1. Check the above directory and remove the personal profile files altogether.
  2. copy the latest personal profile files to the directory.
  3. Make sure the check box is unchecked in the installer when doing a reconfiguration or a delivery installation. Although for some deliveries, you might not be allowed to manually uncheck this check box depending on the contents of the delivery.
