Hi,

We are in the process of upgrading from Apps 7.5 to 10 and all the standard reports in Apps 10 are displaying the Standard IFS BW logo, post upgrade:

How can we replace IFS logo with our custom logo?

I uderstand this logo file IFSlogbw.gif is under D:\IFS\<instance>\repository\server\reports\stdlogo folder.

We tried replacing but the new logo isn’t getting picked up, which may be due to the fact that the logo file resides in a database table - report_logos_tab

Question - Do we need to replace the IFSlogbw.gif file with our custom logo and perform a reconfiguration to deploy the new file into the DB?

Is this the right approach?

Note: We dont have access to Report Designer and only looking for the custom logo to show up in Operational Reports instead of IFS logo.

TIA!

@Srikanth ,

Please follow these steps.

  1. Login to IFS Aurena client as IFSAPP (or admin user)
  2. Go to Solution Manager \ Operational Reporting \ Report Images
  3. Select the LOGOS tab as you are adding a logo
  4. Import the new logo and set its name as complogo.gif (assuming you had this name before in your images path)

As per the standard, it is designed to override IFSlogbw.gif with any image having the name complogo.gif. You can use other tabs (Images, Signatures) to store other types of images used in your report layouts.

Hi @Srikanth ,

Yes, you can use IFS Installer to deploy your company logo into the database

  1. Copy and paste your complogo.gif file in to <ifshome>\repository\server\reports\stdlogo
  2. Perform a reconfiguration using IFS Installer.cmd script – make sure to select all the 3 options under “Import IFS Report Items” in the “Database import and deploy” step (https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/Foundation1/020_installation/500_references/020_ifs_applications_installer/020_ui_reference_itd/035_ifs_home_itd/080_import_data/default.htm?nobanner=true)

This will make sure to install the complogo.gif in the database.

Additionally, you can use any of the following folders to store different types of images for reports.
<IFS_HOME>\repository\server\reports\images
<IFS_HOME>\repository\server\reports\signatures
<IFS_HOME>\repository\server\reports\stdlogo

Great, thanks for confirming this is the right approach.

Question - How will the reports start picking companylogo.gif instead of IFSlogoBW.gif automatically, following the reconfiguration?

Hi @Srikanth,

Alternatively, you can easily upload your logo file using the Report Images page in Aurena as well.

If the image exists both in database and the application server host fallback path, then the image located in the database always takes precedence over the one stored in the application server host.

Hope this helps!

I uploaded the company logo and deleted IFSlogbw.gif and re-ran the report. There is no image file in the output now.

Do we need to do any changes to the reports to pick up the new logo file?
