Would like to know why the cost is fetched as zero in time report tab. The employee had been linked to a craft id in organization basic data/craft catalogue .Here the craft id has not been fetched .
Do we need to select it in report in work order or will it get fetched automatically
Is it due to the fact that no craft id is selected the cost is mentioned as zero taking the rate defined in maintenance organisation?

Hi
Craft ID is fetched automatically when you report time if, you have set it as the default craft id in Link Employees/Craft window.
Rate/h of the Maintenance organization is fetched as the cost if you have not entered a craft id when you report time. Please refer below scenario.
Rate/h of craft id 60 is 30 and rate/h of maintenance organization 1000 is 20.
Please refer below two highlighted time report lines. When the craft id is not mentioned system has considered the rate of the maintenance organization.

Thank you for the clarification i also received similar result. The issue is that a craft id is marked as default to this employee and it gets fetched for current records . Nevertheless there are many previous time reporting records without craft id .Is it that the crafts were linked after time reporting was completed or there can be other reasons as to why the craft id has not been fetched? Which resulted in zero cost as maintenance organisation rate was 0.

Yes that is because time reporting was one before setting a default craft for an employee. Employee should have a default craft at the time of they report time in order to fetch the craft id automatically.
