How can I enable Technician Portal in IFS Cloud?  Currently the data is not present when I try to access the screens. Please share any configurations/ permission sets required.

Hi @AccLakshN ,

Just to be clear on your requirement,

  1. Is it that you need to access Technician portal or
  1. You have access to Technician portal, but you do not see any data in the tiles ?

If it is regarding access, there are certain permission sets available for example  TECH_PORTAL_MAINT_ENG_LTU, TECH_PORTAL_SERVICE_ENG_LTU, TECH_PORTAL_HVY_MAINT_ENG_LTU  etc for the 2 different portals.

If it is about data not being displayed in the Tech portal, you can follow below steps. For example, I am referring Maintenance Engineer Portal here.

The logged in user should have a person and employee ID defined. User should be connected to a resource group (that is used in Maintenance) and site/company connection should be established.

Once the Resource setup is correctly done, you can create a work order for the same company, site and maintenance organization (connected to the resource). Enter a work task as well.

  • Create a Demand line for the resource group that the user is connected (just the demand line and no assignment).
  • Create a direct assignment for the employee (not connected to the demand).

The work task should be released.

Now the resource demand will be included in “Unassigned” tile and direct assignment will be included in ”Assigned” tile. Similarly data for other tiles can also be created.

Best Regards,

Thilini
