When performing the Preliminary Year End to take 2024 balances to 2025 I get the error message of “The ID has no codestring”.  We have a total of 4 companies and I was able to do the process on the other three but not on this one.  I’m not sure where to look to see what ID is missing this information.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Hypothetically, if this is a company you don’t analyze, and this is the first time really looking at GL data for that company then look to the Authority Class, user per authority class, and that area.  Or if someone recently change the authority settings, check this. An easy test is check balance analysis for that user and company. Just see if you can access data for that company / user.

I assume this is a company you normally access GL, and if that’s true, then the authority is probably not the issue. Access to GL data is controlled via the authority class / combinations.  If your able to see the balance type data in GL then authority is not the issue.

Best regards,

Thomas
