Cloud 23R1 Editing Partially Delivered Customer Order Header

IFS Cloud 23R1

Does anyone else need to edit customer order header information after some order lines have been invoiced? These are custom fields we created in the header for industry specific data (well name, producer, etc).

Our business model requires customer orders with over 1,000 lines. Sometime the header information changes after the early lines are invoiced. It does not affect the invoiced lines. Just the future lines. We cannot edit the data in the customer order header. It is an arduous task to cancel and re-enter a new order for the remaining lines.

If you have run into a similar situation, how did you solve it?

@PMGannon I would be in favor of allowing for persisted Custom Attributes to be edited at any stage in the CO or even Customer Invoice. Most of the times, these custom attributes don’t have any functionality behind except for maybe printing something in an operational report.

I guess in your scenario, this could work if you create the same Custom Attributes at CO Line level. Whenever new values need to be set at CO HEader level, the user could fill them in CO Line and then you could have an event with a bit of PL/SQL code to update the Custom Attributes in the CO Header.

@Marcel.Ausan Excellent suggestion. Thank you, Marcel. This is the direction we are going to go.
