No, you still shouldn’t need the rules. We had the acknowledger and authorizer at the beginning as well and just had a separate signoff step by process without any IFS driven rules.
No, the authorizations should not be mandatory in order to use the workflow. We didn’t have authorizations setup initially, but do have them now for some companies.
There is however some basic data that is needed, and you might need to update the company settings, just depends on where you are in the process of setting this up compared to when the company was setup.
