We are seeking to reserve materials automatically for the original requisitoner upon goods receipt following the creation of a purchase requisition. Could you provide instructions on how to set up this automated process?
This PR is not related to any Customer Order, Shop Order or any Maintenance Order.

@yzmercan I guess more info would be needed on the exact scenario.

So, that PR must have originated from some sort of demand (even if it’s not SO / CO / Material Req). If a user creates a PR manually and once the goods are received via PO, how should the system acknowledge that someone needs that material? Usually every reservation must be done on a demand - Customer Order / Shipment / Material Requisition / MAintenance Material Req. I don’t think you can create a reservation which is not linked to a demand source.

We are working on a maintenance heavy industry (Coal Power Plant) and most of the PRs are made for stock availability purpose, which are not directly connected to Maint. Order.
There will be Maintenance Order initiated PRs too and they are auto reserved in receipt. So no prob. from this side.
The problem arises for other manually initiated PRs. The requisitioners asks auto reservation at goods receipt because they don’t want their parts to be consumed by other maintenance departments without their consent. otherwise they will suffer inventory shortage for their own maintenance processes.
