Not really sure why the Demand Server cannot be started.

We cannot log in with any user.  Error states ‘Invalid Password or username.’

The user is not locked.

The periods are defined thru 2023

I know that a user reported that the last time he used this was 09/2022….so not sure when the error started.

Has anyone experience this and know a fix or what to look at?

Hi,

The error message in the Server Dashboard <tab> says that you need to create more forecast periods.

Although they currently go out to December 2023 in your example, it is usual for these periods to be defined at least 3 years in advance and often even longer.

This is because the Demand Planner will create statistical forecast for the number of forecast periods defined on the General <tab> (which is typically defined as 12 - 24 (months) depending on your business requirements).

You can add more forecast periods on the Period Version <tab> like this;

  1. Enter an End Year (e.g. 2026)
  2. Press Add Periods
  3. Select RMB option ‘Validate Dates’

  1. The ‘Dates Valid’ check box should then be ticked
  2. The new Period Versions are then visible

I hope that this helps.

@Richard Owen

That worked perfectly

  • Updated the Periods thru 2026,
  • restarted the Demand Planner Service on the Server and
  • refreshed the screen in IFS.

TADA  Working again.  Thank you so much!!
