use the Shop Floor Workbench through Bar code scanner to report the operations

This may not be directly related to the question, but I'd like to suggest an option for you to explore. You might want to check whether this functionality can be used for your purpose. You can associate the card execution method with SFW via the Time Clock Addon. Good Luck! 
 

You can use a barcode scanner to populate the operation, or operation block that you want to report on in Shop Floor Workbench. Set Filter By = Barcode  for the shop floor employee, or if reporting anonymously, the user. Then scan either the operation barcode ID as found on the work instruction report, or the operation block ID as found on the operation block report.

you will still have to click the buttons to start/stop clockings and report quantities though.

And as always with workbench, make sure to configure the page to only show the buttons and fields relevant for your process to make the user experience as simple as possible! 

​@Björn Hultgren Hi! Do you know how to Default the Filter By field to say Barcode? I want to keep the same LOV, but I just want it to default to Barcode automatically as our users enter. Any idea? 

It depends on whether you run in Anonymous or Employee mode.

if you run anonymous, you enter this on Shop Floor Reporting User Settings per Site page.

If you run in employee mode, you define it either per employee on Shop Floor Employees page

Or per team on Shop Floor Teams page

Thank you! ​@Björn Hultgren is this the only way to achieve this? Is there not something I can do with Page Designer or IFS Developer Studio? Those were originally the ways I was attempting to solve this problem. 

​@GarretOber I’m not a specialist in page designer or developer studio so cannot answer that. In what way does the methods I described not fulfill your requirements?
