To me it looks like the material bottleneck settings have been swapped in the logic. “Always Finite” components will be scheduled in Shop Orders with planned goods receipts. If I switch to “Finite” the Shop Orders gets “Unscheduled”!?

Hi Walter,

I have tested this recently in 24R1(SU2) and it works correctly - what version are you using?

H Richard, long time no see. Thanks for the answer. I am also working in 24R1(SU2). What I found out is that in the outgoing message one entry is not understandable:

<Part_Stock>

<id>3</id>

<part_id>WG- 220-*-*</part_id>

<stock>2147483647</stock>

<override_existing>false</override_existing>

<available_datetime>2024-11-17T00:00:00+01:00</available_datetime>

</Part_Stock>

For this value and time is nothing in the system and this data set will only generated, if the Part setting is “FINITE CAPACITY”!? If the value is “ALWAYS FINITE CAPACITY” this data set is not generated. For both settings the dataset for the planned receipt is generated:

<Part_Stock>

<id>2</id>

<part_id>WG- 220-*-*</part_id>

<stock>1000000</stock>

<override_existing>false</override_existing>

<available_datetime>2024-09-27T00:00:00+02:00</available_datetime>

</Part_Stock>

But as decribed before the Shop Order will be scheduled with “ALWAYS FINITE CAPACITY” starting with

2024-09-27 and gets UNSCHEDULED withFINITE CAPACITY”.

Hi Walter,

Do you happen to have any Work Center Characteristics Setup Matrix defined for the Work Centers on the Site? If so, are they considered as an Optimization Goal in the Finite Scheduling Basic Data screen?

I know this is a strange question! However, there is currently an issue where Material Constraints may not work correctly if a Set Up Matrix has been defined and is being considered as an Optimization Goal.

The workaround is to set the Set Up Matrix Optimization Goals toggle = ‘False’.

Hi Richard, with more tests the Results are more and more not understandable. If I switch to APB in the same environment I get the expected Results. Maybe something is wrong with the MSO- installation!?

Hi Walter, I think you should log a ticket to get this one investigated as it all sounds rather strange. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Thanks!
