Hi All

Hopefully an easy one.

Scenario, Part A( manufactured) is made from Part B (purchased), currently both set up as finite with a lead time.

At the Begining Part A is scheduled for 100 days from now based on lead time, so far so good.

A PO is created for part B and the planned arrival date can now be earlier or later than expected ,

Now when i run APB i need this new arrival date (Actual supply) to supersede the default lead time.

What settings / process do i need to incorporate in order for this to happen?

Regards

Ian

Hi,

It is required to set the manufactured part finite with lead time as you have done already.

In your scenario, the purchase part that you want to source has to have 100  days as the Leadtime and that will push your manufacturing by 100 days. Then if you are lucky and can get the order early , lets say 50 days from today, then next time when you start APB and schedule the shop order ASAP, the shop order will get scheduled 50 days from today. ( provided that Purchase order fulfil the full material quantity of the operation )

thanks and regards

Saman
