once the GR is done and material is rejected,
PO line status shows “received “
every time planning department needs to go the details to check rejection etc as PO line status shows received.
thinking of “rejected “ status or information in PO screen directly.

The rejection is done over a purchase receipt. Remember that a PO line can have several receipts, so if some of them are approved and some others rejected, then there would be no possibility of showing this information in the same line.
In my opinion, the best option would be to check the Delivery status from the PO or else, if an overview for several PO lines is needed, a quick report of Purchase Receipts or Purchase Order Delivery Status lines.
