Is it possible to report project time and see at the same time the start and end time?

We currently have setup the system to report the number of hours spend on project time transactions, but we would also like to record at what time those hours are spend.

Hi Paul,

Project Reporting is done on hours and not on “clockings”/”time interval” (for instance 08:00 - 17:00). “Clockings”/”time interval” can be reported separately, but not on an actual project transaction.

What is the purpose of the reporting on clockings? Is it just for documentation, to be reviewed only if required? In that case the start and end time can easily be entered into the Internal or Invoice Comments.

If the reporting on specific clockings however has a specific use and is always required, for instance to be sent to a Payroll System or for determining compensation based on a customer or collective agreement; then you can and should report that time separately as “wage hours” towards specific wage codes in HCM.

Regards,
Magnus

Hi @Magnus Johansson

Thanks for your reply. The clockings are a federal tax requirement for employees that are entitled to overtime. We have considered using internal comments but were also wondering if anybody else has come accross this scenario. We will investigate what the impact will be if we use separate wage hours.

Kind regards, Paul
