Question

Future Demand - Create Order Proposal

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hi,

Have a problem with a part using planning method B. We have demand (i.e. material reqs) with different due dates. When I run ‘Create Order Proposal’, only for the next demand a purch req is created, not for those later ones.

In Apps 7 it was possible to enter a number in planning days so that future demand for i.e. the next 90 days was included. How can this be done in Apps 10?

Hi,

This requirement can be supported in IFS Applications 10 using the IPR (Inventory Planning and Replenishment) Supply Plan functionality.

This only works for Inventory Parts with Planning Method ‘B’ and the system will compute order point, safety stocks and lot sizes for all dates in a range set by the user.

It will simulate an on hand quantity and when this quantity reaches the order point, a future order proposal will be created.

I hope that this helps.
