Hello Community,

We are using IFS 9.I have a question for labor and operation trasactions.

for subcontracting transaction -WIPFROMSUB normally Material cost is getting added if it is the first subcontracting transaction.

But I have found that for 4 transaction there was material cost added in this transaction.

but for last two transactions its manufacturing cost comprises of Material cost plus subcontracting cost.

I want to know why this subcontracting cost is getting added particularly for these last two transactions and how it getting calculated.

there were two Subcon operations happened .no in-house operation.

so the sequence is

1st operation -

WIPTOSUB

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB

2nd Operation

WIPTOSUB

1st operation -

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB

2nd Operation

WIPTOSUB

1st operation -

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB

2nd Operation

WIPTOSUB

2nd Operation

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB

2nd Operation

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB

1st operation -

SUBCONTR

WIPFROMSUB     here material cost Plus subcon cost added. before for 1st operation only material cost was present.

I want to know why subcon cost added here and from where it got calculated.

Regards,

Deepak

Hi,

Subcontracting costs are defined under each cost set in the “Subcontracting Cost” under Engineering → Routing. The costs would be absorbed to the part received from the subcontractor.
