Hello,
We are encountering an issue in IFS FSM (FSM Release 6 Update 25 Build 8597) when attempting to correct a SWAP process in the FSM browser. The scenario is as follows:
- We create a Request Type SWAP and a task.
- We add a Part Need (serialized), which is shipped to the technician, and then plan the task.
- The technician receives and uses the shipped product in FSM Mobile, completing the SWAP. This action appears under Part Usage and creates a Part Disposition.
- If done correctly in Mobile, the SWAP is closed. However, if done incorrectly (e.g., the product was not correctly added under Part Usage), we need to correct this in FSM Browser.
To correct the issue in FSM Browser, we follow these steps:
- Add a Part Usage entry with:
- Line Code: Install Part
- Quantity: 1
- Part ID + Place ID + Location
- The Part ID + Location is the technician.
- We then need to select the serial number of the product.
The Problem:
- In FSM Browser, we cannot select a serial number and receive the error:
"The number of serial IDs selected does not match the quantity."
This prevents us from selecting the serial and saving the Part Usage. - However, in Smart Client, we can successfully add the same Part Usage and after pressing "Save," a popup appears where we can select and confirm the serial number located at the technician.
Question:
Has anyone else encountered this issue? We would like to provide a correction method for key/end users without using the Smart Client. Is there a known workaround, setting, or FSM version update that resolves this limitation in the FSM Browser?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
