We have a series of authorisation rules in place for Project requisitions based on value.  These are along the lines of

  • up to 10k by Project Manager
  • 10k-20k by Project Manager & Department Head
  • 20k+ Project Manager, Department Head & FD

Is it possible to have an additional rule, where non-project reqs just go to Finance Manager for sign-off?

Is it just as straightforward as ticking the Apply for Non Project Connected PR and making sure the Priority is a higher number than our existing rules?

Thanks.

As suggested, if a new rule is set up to cover the non project PR, (provided the existing rules only cover projects) the system will fetch the correct PR Auth rule at the time of releasing the PR.

The priority comes to play if you have set up similar rules at a given moment. But I think non project check along will create the exception for this instance.
