Hello Team,

Is it possible to change the password for the IFS CONNECT and other Foundation password in Cluster nodes in the production server, if so what are the steps and what are the impact will happen while changing the password?

Waiting for your precious reply for the same.

Hi Sanjeev,

You can change the internal IFS user passwords from the IFS Installer.

Run the installer in the Main node and do a Reconfiguration.

In the internal System Users page, use Edit and then you can change the passwords

There are two options to change password

Change instance configuration:

Change only the middleware configuration files

Change Oracle user password:

Changes the Oracle user password and the middleware configuration files

Since you have a cluster, after the installer finishes, you need to update the cluster as usual after a delivery.

Cheers!

Hello Damit,

Thank you mate and sorry for the late reply, One more to ask even for IFS ERF Server and IFS Print Server how could we change the password for the same? Is any impact will happen once we change the password for all the clusters in prod which you have mention earlier.

waiting for your valuable answer.

Regards

Sanjeev

Hi @TecSanjeS,

You are welcome. After you change the passwords in the IFS Application Server, then you can to do the same in ERF using the installer. In the password change options select Change instance configuration  and provide the changed passwords.

I assume by IFS Print Server you mean Print Agent, since Print Server is deprecated after App7.5.

Print agent setup is re-generated by the installer with changed passwords.

After the reconfiguration is successful, you can copy the Print Agent .zip from ifs_home\instance\<INSTANCE> and re-install in the agent(s)

Regards,

Damith
