Is it possible to use both Single-sign on and Database Authentication at the same time for a user?

If I look at the screenshot below I would expect I’m able to login via both SSO and Database Authentication. This is however not working.

Hey,

Assuming that you are on Apps10 - This is not possible.
Database Authentication requires Identity and Directory ID to be exactly the same, else it will fail with the token verification.

ALLOW_DB_AUTHENTICATION is associated with compatibility mode for Apps10. (Parts of the Apps9 authentication that was carried over to Apps10)

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best Regards
Markus

Thanks for the quick response and clear explanation!

We are indeed on Apps10. Looking at my example screenshot; if I create this user with both Identity and Directory as 'SPARES@COMPANY.COM’. It will allow using both SSO and Database Authentication?

Hi again Jur,

Unfortunately, that will not work. It’s not that simple

Out of curiosity and to be able to help you better: What is that you are trying to achieve? What is the business case?

Best Regards
Markus

We want to enable SSO on Windows Handheld scanners. We are currently in contact with MSP on how to achieve this.

Thanks for the answers!
