trying to understand numbering of Business Opportunity . I know we can specify a prefix per user but can I specify somewhere that auto numbering of B.O. start from 100 let’s say.

As per my understanding there’s no way to set the starting number of the B.O autonumbering id via IFS application’s interface. However, you can request IFS consulting or a responsible party to configure the next number/min number of the oracle sequence: business_opportunity_no_seq to starts with the number you need (i.e: 100) after a fresh IFS applications installation/upgrade ideally. After analyzing the requirement/request, they can configure that for you from the DB side. In that way, you can achieve your requirement.

In IFS application, the business opportunity ID number gets automatically picked up based on the next free number in the number sequence. I am afraid, there isn’t any option/window in the application to specify the number where the autonumbering should start.
