We have a situation that we have created Master Parts, Purchased Parts and by mistake we have created inventory parts as well. After creating all parts we have created a purchase order and assigned all the created parts into newly purchased order. Now these newly created parts are not part of inventory and we want to remove it from inventory. Could you please help in this regard?

Hi @CALIDUS
You can simply scrap available qty from “Scrap Inventory” and then delete the Inventory Part record from the application. using the delete option.
But you have to make sure  that there are no quantities in inventory for the part. If so removal is not permitted.

Best Regards,
Tharaka.

Hi Dilan,

Thanks for your answer, but it is not solving my problem. This inventory part got 0 quantity and it is connected with one purchase order and status of purchase order is still planned. In the purchase order this part defined has inventory part. Please find the picture below.

Hi @CALIDUS

If there is no use of this PO you can simply cancel the PO. That would solve your mentioned error.

Best Regards,
Tharaka,

Hello,

Just to add;

If you cancel PO before deleting the lines, you wont able to delete the lines in cancelled PO.

If you want to delete an inventory part, you have to delete every record created in IEE.

Kind Regards

Dear Ozgun,

Thanks for answer.

We can’t delete lines of purchase order because lines are already released. We are stuck now, even after cancellation of purchase order, it will not allow to delete.

Midhat

Hi @CALIDUS

Is the PO connected to a purchase requisition?

Thanks.

Hi @CALIDUS

In that case we cannot delete the line. Hence the best option is to Obsolete the part. Kindly check if it is inline with the company policy. below I have shown you how to do that.

Thanks.
