Hi, I have multiple line items to add in Quotation or Purchase Order or Package Part. Is there any .csv file import options to make it easier. Or any other easy and convenient way?

Currently I am adding each lines separately which is quite time consuming.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi @Hussainmt,

You can create a Migration Job if it is a continuous business requirement or there is an add-on also available developed by Techris Consulting.

Please refer to the discuss below for more details on add-on.

Hi @Hussainmt ,

You don’t need to add lines one by one

You can copy multiple rows from Excel and paste directly into the lines grid in IFS.

Steps:

  1. Prepare your data in Excel (Part No, Qty, etc.)

  2. Copy the rows

  3. Go to Quotation / Purchase Order lines

  4. Paste into the grid

This is the fastest way for adding multiple lines.

If you need to upload large or recurring data, then you can consider using a Migration Job.

Let me know if you need help with that.

Hi @Lingesan08 ,

Thank you for your response. Is this possible in IFS Cloud? Could you please share a video tutorial that might help?

Hi @Hussainmt ,

Yes, this works in IFS Cloud as well! The copy-paste from Excel directly into the lines grid is supported in the Cloud version, so you should be good to go.

As for a video tutorial, I don't have one handy right now, but here's a quick recap of what to do:

1. Open your Quotation or Purchase Order in IFS Cloud
2. Navigate to the Lines section
3. In Excel, select and copy your rows (Part No, Qty, Price, etc.)
4. Click on the first empty row in the IFS lines grid and paste (Ctrl+V)

A couple of tips:
- Make sure your Excel columns are in the same order as the IFS grid columns before pasting
- It's worth testing with just 2–3 rows first to confirm everything maps correctly before doing a large batch

If you run into any issues or the paste doesn't behave as expected in your specific IFS Cloud version, a Migration Job (as mentioned by Abdul) would be the reliable fallback for bulk imports.

Let us know how it goes!

@Lingesan08 Could you please show this on screenshots on “your specific IFS Cloud version”?

Copy/Paste from Excel is NOT natively supported neither in in IFS Cloud nor in any previous versions.

“Make sure ….”? “It’s worth testing….”? “If you run into any issues...”?

This is another AI generated answer which is nowhere near the reality.
