I have place and ICO (Purchase Order) on my factory. They have now decided to dispatch the materials by the agreed freight term over to us.
Is there any way the materials location on IFS10 can be changed to reflect the same being in transit?
Any report or tracker which I can utilize to monitor the materials in transit?
Could anyone urgently assist on the same please as I have close to 50 containers headed my way but with no traceability other than MS Excel sheets which are cumbersome to manage.

Hi,
If you use the distribution order process, the quantities are more visible, such as delivered quantity and received quantities. Searching the data (in transit) could also be easier.
Thank you for the note. The other question I have then is how do I peg or mark the material which are in transit?
Hi @BaptistP
The location in Inventory Part in Stock will not show Transit qty in this situation. Transit Qty is used in Transport Tasks in one flow I know.
The go-to window for your requirement I would say is the Inventory Part in Internal Order Transit window.
For you to find what is on your way - focus on the ‘Delivering Site’ and ‘Site’ fields, where former is the supply site and the latter is demand site - I guess is your site.
Hi,
Add some more input to this topic.
Just a clarification, the Inventory Part In Internal Order Transit page is only working when the two sites are in the same company.
Another option might be that the supply site sends a dispatch advice of what is delivered and then you can see goods on its way in the Incoming Dispatch Advice page with all the part and handling unit info. Then later it can be used to receive the goods.
In IFS Cloud we have a solution to take ownership of the material at the supplier and ship to the destination. Then you can follow the material.
