IFS Cloud “Service Contract” page has a command button called “Refresh Lobby Data”. What is the intent of this button?

When users create Customer Invoices connected to service contracts (either via Service Contract Invoice plan or Work Order specific sales invoices), how is this revenue updated to the system (Analysis for Servce Contract page) so that one can see it from the page charts? I’ve generated customer invoices but the Service Contract analysis “revenue” graphs will not react to this in any way.

It seems that the analysis page uses a IFS Lobby element called REVENUE TYPE ANALYSIS, which is a standard lobby element managed by IFS RnD

Hi @AveTonitM

I tried below steps and it worked for me. I will mention the steps briefly since I think you have done the same.

  1. Create a service contract.
  2. Enter invoice plan.
  3. Create a service line and use Invoice type = Invoice plan.
  4. Activate the contract.
  5. Generate invoice preview for the first period and create invoice.
  6. Now check the Analysis page - Revenue Analysis and Revenue breakdown graphs do not display data.
  7. Do a full page refresh - Now it will show data.

“Refresh Lobby Data” option initiates a background job to refresh Service Contract Cost Rev Table for the particular contract.

However as far as I see, this is not needed to view data in the Analysis page. Just a full-page refresh will display the revenue.

Hope it helps.

Thanks!

how do I get Work Order costs/sales data to the analysis view that are not related to invoice plan service lines, but “resources used” or “fixed price”?

Hi @AveTonitM

That is also possible. Here also once the invoicing is done via a customer order, revenue details will be displayed.

Let’s say you have

Service line 1 - Resources used

Service line 2 - Fixed price

and the contract is active.

Test flow - Resources used:

  1. Create a work order and a task. Make sure that the task is connected to the above customer and service contract line 1.
  2. Release the work task.
  3. Report some transactions. For example, I reported manual expense. A cost and sales transaction will be created.
  4. Check the sales tab. Check whether a sales part having a price (>0) is included in the sales line.
  5. Create an invoice preview and approve it. Customer order will be created.
  6. Proceed the customer order until invoiced/closed.
  7. Now the revenue will be displayed in the service contract.

Test flow - Fixed price:

  1. Create a work order and a task. Make sure that the task is connected to the above customer and service contract line 2.
  2. Release the work task.
  3. Check the sales tab. Note that there is a fixed price line with sales part having a price (>0). This was fetched from the service contract line.
  4. Create an invoice preview and approve it. Customer order will be created.
  5. Proceed the customer order until invoiced/closed.
  6. Now the revenue will be displayed in the service contract.

Hope this helps.
