MWO Service (23R2) New Purchase Requisition

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hi

I am currently working with a client who requires the ability to raise purchase requisitions in MWO Service app.

When I open the option New Purchase Requisition I cannot see any parts in the LOV.

Can someone explain the setup required to view parts in LOV for the purchase requisition please.

I’ve read the 23R2 Demystified and it does not give me the information I require.

Note : I have a Purchase Part and Supplier for Part.

Thanks

G

Did you make sure that the required parts are synced to MWO? To see parts and inventory in MWO, two database tasks need to be run:

  • Refresh All Purch Parts
  • Refresh All Inventory Parts

To review existing database task schedules, navigate to Solution Manager>Background Processing>Scheduled Tasks>Database Task Schedules. You can view the schedule but also trigger an ad hoc run.

Of course the parts need to be available for the user’s site.

You can also use the database viewer in MWO to check if the parts have been synced:

Hi Alexander

thanks for that I can confirm that worked. Thank you.

I’m curious how you got the table view in your reply above to work on MWO because I can’t see the option.

thanks G

I just added a section to the next release of MWO Demystified. 😏

Database Viewer for the Local Database

For troubleshooting purposes it is possible to read MWO’s offline database. To be able to do that, navigate to Solution Manager>Mobile Apps>Administration>Installed Apps Devices. Find your device and select Edit App/Device Settings.

Activate the Enable Db Viewer toggle.

After initialization of MWO there will be a new command Database Viewer on the Settings page.

You can then select a table from the local database and also choose the columns that should be displayed.

Selecting a row will then present all details of the record.

Hi Alexander

I will give this a go.

Is it possible that you could list all the database tasks for MWO in the next version of MWO Demystified please?

Thanks Graham

I list whatever I stumble across or when I find some hidden gems like the database viewer… 😁
