Hey everyone,

 

We have come across an issue where whenever we attempt to add an attachment to the work task via selecting the file in the file explorer the app crashes. This happens to both android and windows (and likely ios, but I am not able to test).

Whenever the attachment is added by using the pc/phone camera the crash does not happen and the image is successfully attached.

Tried looking at Logs, mobile logs, failed transactions, transactions, sync traces but none of them have any mention of what could have caused the crash.

 

The ifs cloud version is 24r1 and I have already tried reinstalling IFS MWO Service app to ensure I’m on the latest version.

Any ideas on what could cause this?

After clicking open the application crashes.

@rafael.cardinal this is weird, we’ve never heard of anything like this. In your screenshot, the filename has special accented characters. Has everything you’ve tested with been like that? Can you test with files without accented characters?

Thanks for the tip.

Tried using a file without any special/accented characters but unfortunately error still persists.


@rafael.cardinal are you seeing this for all users on your environment or just a few? If a subset, what’s special about them? If it’s all, how many users do you have? Are they all running in Portuguese?

In any case, can you share the device logs with me for a quick look please? In case you’ve not done this before, you get this option in the MWO Service app, going into the menu and then going into Settings > Send Device Logs and then using the Share or Save To Device options.  I’ll PM you on how to reach me.

As for the other questions, the crash is very consistent independent of platform, environment, user or language
