Hi,

Is there an option to load IFS ai.Copilot in MWO Service or Maintenance applications in 25R1? Or it’s not available in mobile apps yet similar to the main application?

Thanks in advance.

/Indika

Not yet available in 25R1, however “IFS.ai Copilot for Service Technicians” is announced for 25R2.

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the update. Could you please let me know the plan for including the IFS.ai Copilot in MWO Maintenance app in future?

Best regards,

Indika

Hi Sampath,

Thanks for the update. What additional steps we need to process to see this option in MWO Maintenance? Also do you have a new release of the mobile app instead of the one available in the Microsoft store for the moment?

Please see if the copilot is enabled through the application parameter.

Hi Sampath,

Thanks for the answer. It worked when I enabled the application parameter.
Now I’m getting a different error message when I ask questions from Copilot.

Best regards,
Indika

I’m assuming you’re on 25R2 Cloud. IFS Copilot functionality is only available in ServiceEngApp. The chat panel can be made visible by enabling the app parameter in MaintEngApp, but that doesn’t mean the Copilot functionality itself is available.

Hi Shatheesh,

Interesting. If this is the intended behavior in 25R2, do you why there are 2 separate application parameters and one is to enable copilot in MaintEngApp?

Will this option be available in MaintEngApp in future releases?

Hi Indika,

Yes, Copilot functionality can be implemented in two ways.

  1. One approach is explicit, where the implementation is tailored based on specific requirements.
  2. The other approach is implicit, where the user’s query is answered based on the existing content available (such as IFS Cloud Docs, Tech Docs, Product Docs, etc.). (This is inbuilt in both Apps )

That’s why each app has separate parameters. However, if a general question about an IFS product still cannot be answered, then the issue is likely with the ifs-chat service.

If the query is more functional in nature (for example, asking for a summary of a particular task), these types of questions are not currently supported in MaintEngApp. They may be available in the future, but this depends on decisions made by the product owners.

Simple Test : Would you be able to go Apps for page designer and find Maintenance Engeneer App there and do the followings?

  1. Open the MaintEngApp in Aurena Client
  2. Open the Copilot Chat which is on right hand side.
  3. Ask the same question via opened Chat box (General Questions) , You should get an answer.
  4. If no, issue is with Platform. That means ifs-chat service is not properly configured for  the env.
  5. If yes, issue is with Mobile. Mobile MaintEngApp cannot communicate with the service properly for General Queries,

I hope this will help you, in order to find the issue.

Hi @satrlk,

Thanks for the update. I tried this option for the ServiceEngApp and still I get the same error. Am I missing anything here?
