Is there a limit to the number of document templates you can create?

Hi @JUFA  there is no specific limit for number of documents you can have as templates. File templates can be defined per combination of Document Class, Language and Format. So there can be only one document defined as a template for the combination of Document Class “A”, Language “en-english” and Format “A4”. And another document(or the same document) can be the template for combination of Document Class “A”, language “zh-Chinese” and Format A4. The limitation is committed like that. Please let me know if this gives the answer for your question.

For the same combination if you try to define two documents as templates, you will notice that it is not allowed. Please refer the image below.

Also, Kindly notice that, one same document  can be defined as template file for many combinations of Document Class, Language and Format.(In above image notice that Document with doc no 1000001 is defined as template for two combinations successfully and the same can be a template for another different  document class too)

@Dilini Arandara, @Mathias Dahl thanks for your help. I have an Apps8 customer who currently has a number of document templates used in HR for contracts and other items related to recruitment and as they upgrade to Aurena, it was a question that arose during our introductory session. As there are a number of features now available to them, we are hoping to move some of their processes that involve some configuration to standard doc man templates and workflows, so it is likely their number of templates will increase.

If they don't want to add new document classes, they could add more formats, for different purposes. Languages are probably not something they want to add in order to increase the number of templates they can store.
