Hello Community,

I am looking to use the Request Work Task screen in IFS Cloud because I am trying to get data transferred to MWO. When I go to create a new request, I am unable to select any Request Scope. 
 

Is there somewhere this needs to be setup first or a different screen I should accessing to get to this page? I am just looking to get data setup so that it can be seen in MWO. I have gone through the Demystified PDF but haven’t found a clear set of instructions.

When creating a Request work task, there are several steps / basic data involved and let me try to explain it as briefly as possible.

 

1)  Create a service in Service catalog. You can enter standard tasks or not and adding standard tasks is not mandatory. 

 

2) Make sure to enter a service organization as well to which your logged in user has access.

 

3)  Filling other tabs in the service catalog is optional.

4) Now we need to create a “Request”.

5) Here you can select the service which you created in step 1. If it doesn’t get displayed in the LOV, please try to use the find option as well. Click Finish button and now the request is created.

 

6) Note that the request scope is available in the created request (based on the service catalog).

 

7) If your service had standard tasks connected, it will be displayed in the Tasks tab. If you need, you can create new task from Tasks tab as well.

 

8) Since you are using New Request Task page, you can click New button.

 

9) Then you can search with your Request ID/ Request scope ID etc to select the relevant scope. If you cannot find it from the list, please use Find option.

10) Once the task is created, you can transfer it to mobile.

​@Alexander Heinze , ​@Thilini Kumarasinghe Thank you both for the responses and guidance, I was able to follow through with the process but I’m starting to think this may be on the permissions side of things as to why I can’t see anything. I’ve transferred a few tasks to mobile but am only seeing some empty objects. 

 

 

We have gone through the permission setup that was specified in the MWO demystified but I’m wondering if it would be normal for the screen to appear as such without any data. 

Do the Tasks/Assignments show up in MOW? Are your Request Tasks associated to Objects - can you share a screenshot? At least the “My Work Objects” section should have data.
