You do not want to go down this path, keeping completed tasks will cause significant performance delays in your schedule board; causing end-user complaints on the time the schedule board takes to paint and return data. What are you trying to accomplish? Let’s find a better solution.
Task should be visible in schedule board for few hours after task completion. Is it possible can we get completed task details in schedule board for few hours.

Why do you want to see completed tasks on the schedule board, are you trying to determine work completed per day (lobby tile on service manager), provide manager a list of work done to review part usage and non part usage (My Team Tracker / drill down to accept reject line codes); what is the end goal of showing completed tasks on the schedule board?
Hello,
We are facing the same use case for our planners in FSM. They want to keep the completed tasks for a defined period of time on the schedule board before they “disappear” .
We discussed / argued a lot regarding that as there are of course more possibilities to enter, check, see completed tasks as well via different sections in the tool (lobbies, request/task screen, service history etc., etc.).
But still the approach is to see at least the latest completed tasks as well directly on the GANTT chart. Typically the planner plan based on previous scheduled and performed jobs and they retrieve a lot of information from the tasks on the schedule board. Combined with the very powerful task card hover screen, this info is very crucial and makes life a lot easier and less complex for upcoming scheduling topics.
The preferred solution would be to have a setting available to define for how long the completed tasks should be shown (e.g. show all completed tasks of the last week, month, etc.)
Another approach (but definitely not the preferred one), which we want to test is to configure the schedule board XML and remove the constraint, which is responsible for excluding completed tasks. After a certain time period, all completed tasks should be closed and therefore finally be removed from the schedule board.
Most crucial for the planners is that they can decide by themselves when the tasks are removed from the GANTT chart.

Hi
Potentially you could introduce a new pending status that the task will stay on for a period of time before moving on to completed. You could control the transition to the completed status using a business rule to update the status after a certain period of time based on the technicians completed date time stamp.
The task would then remain on the schedule board until the business rule kicks in and moves the status on.
This would need to be tested very carefully to ensure they are removed as expected and that changing the status flow does not affect any other rules, reports, processes etc that look to the status as a trigger.
Kind regards,
