Is it possible to configure IFS Document Management repository in order to use the FTPS protocol, not the standard FTP? I mean, using the 990 port and TLS/SSL Implicit encryption?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Sadly, due to the FTP library we use, we cannot support FTPS today, and there are no current plans to change this.

Why do you need it? Given a proper network setup, where only the application server is allowed to make requests to the FTP server, even unencrypted communication should be okay I think.

Do you have needs to access the FTP server using other tools? That is not something we recommend since you then short-circuit the access mechanism in Docman, but it’s of course your decision to do so.

Hope this helps.

/Mathias
