Unable to recieve the purchase order in inventory , i am getting error as update not allowed once the purchase order is created. this purchase order is pegged from work order. how can i receive the materials.

Document Management - Importing Files

We would like to o create a folder/database of files in IFS for our Proof of Delivery documents that we can search by Order Number, PO Number, Invoice Number, etc. and retrieve the Proof of Delivery.Does IFS have the capability scan files directly into IFS or have a scan imported to a folder within IFS? And then those files can be searched to retrieve a specific document?

IFS Business Reporter Error "External component has thrown an exception."

Hello,One of our users recently reported an error when trying to run a BR report, both locally on the PC from within the BR app *and through IFS IEE. The user was able to run the report with no issues within the last year and this started about three weeks ago. I can run the same report with no issues from my PC. We tried to re-install IFS BR w/ pre-reqs but the same error message still occurs.*EDIT: The user reported they can run the report successfully from within IEE.We’re looking into other factors such as if an application was recently installed that may be conflicting with BR but that seems unlikely. Has anyone else experienced an error similar or know how we might go about troubleshooting this further?

DP Server functions very slowly

Hi,In one of client, when they start DP server it takes a long time to complete start up. we have tried with both the way, 1. by running DP server application and 2. by running DP Server Setup application & running the Load form DB Job. but in both the cases it takes almost 1 hour to start though there are not much data in the defined base flow and combined flow. need to know why is it happening like this.Also, when we run DP jobs like create forecast, qualify parts etc it takes a long time to complete, almost 7-8 hours.The only job that take fraction of second is Aggregate Daily.other jobs i could not test due to this long time period.In reality customer has more than 4 crore inventory parts including all the sites to be handled through demand planner. but currently for testing they are using few sites only.Can someone explain me why is it taking this much time ?? and what are the possible ways to optimize it?[Customer is using IFS Apps-10 & Demand Planner Server 6.0.0]Regards

Condition Based PM Actions

HiI have a query around Condition based PM’s in Apps 8. We have a number of PM’s set up for run time hours on engines, with an interval of 250 hours connected to a test point with an accumulative parameter. This is working fine and producing work orders every 250 hours, however, what we would like to occur is a work order to be generated with a planned value of +250 from the last recorded reading, for example if the last recorded reading was 12513 the next work order planned value would be 12763. Whereas at the moment it creates a work order +250 from the planned value of the previous work order.Is this possible to achieve in Apps 8? Below is the condition set up we have:

Transport tasks: locking down destination

Hello, Is there a way to prevent the user from choosing or changing the destination location while processing a transport task from an Android WADACO client? We wish to utilize the 2-step picking functionality to process shipments. The destination of the transport task is the particular door/trailer that corresponds to a shipment, as we process many shipments simultaneously. We are seeking a way to allow the user to scan the destination, and to validate it is the correct location before allowing them to proceed. I understand the field can be given an automatic value, but being able to validate the user’s choice is key. Thanks!

Apps9 Report Rule Send Email - Size limations?

We are using Report Rule - Send Email and a Route to Connect Process for our Sales Quotations and have found a limitation. Sales Quote PDF is 10 pages with size 237KB which works fine but as soon as we add additional lines to the quote the emails and route to connect processes no longer work. They are still 10 pages but the size changes to 238KB. The PDFs show in Report Archive and Print Manager but the Report Rules do not process. PDF doesn’t show up in the Route To Connect location nor are the emails sent. I’m not seeing any errors in Application Messages, Background Jobs, Print Manager so not sure where to check next.

Alternate part functionalities for purchasing and planning

Hi, I tried to find an answer on previous topics but i’m afraid my use case is not covered.I’d like to implement the below functionning in IFS :- If I have a need of 10 PCS for component A (customer order)- And if I already have 8 PCS of component B in stock.- I want a need of only 2 PCS of component A to be triggered by the system (purchase requisition).To do so i guess i need to set-up part B as alternate of part A. I tried to set-up alternate purchase part & alternate component functionalities but it does not seems to work, even when “Include in MRP netting” is set-up at alternate component level, and when “plan alternate component” is ticked for MRP performing.I guess I missed a piece of set-up.Thanks for your precious help.BR.Baptiste.Note : I’m on IFS cloud 21R1.

Editing Document connection approval

Is there a way to restrict the user from editing the document approvals. i think there is a limitation in IFS to do so. As one user who has the permission set alloted to him can bypass the original approver. is there a way to write a custom even on this. Similarly need to put a control that only the last approver can bypass the lower approvers.objection connection document approvals.

IFS Login system for Power Apps

Hi, Would like to ask if there has been any efforts to produce an IFS connector for Power Apps, more specifically for a login process to the system? I am currently trying to design an app for an IFS cloud environment and have ran into a few walls along the way. The app manages deliveries and uploads signatures to each customer order (access to these api’s are completed and program works as intended) But my app lacks a LOGIN page to prevent access to the already authorized and connected oAuth2.0 based connections which are used by the API requests. From what I understand so far;Browser accessing IFS Cloud Aurena:-GET request returns the login page’s html and javascript’sUser enters creds and clicks ‘login’POST request is sent containing RAW username and password in the body(see below for post request extracted from fiddler4 - editted for data protection)--------------And finally a 302 response is received from IFS Cloud suggesting the credentials were correct. Mass update SO structure when using a PD?

Hi, is there any way to use the standard functionality "Mass update shop order structure" when use Project Deliverables? I understand that Shop orders that are created from the PD structure cannot be updated, but why the system should prevent updation SO that are not connected?In my point of view it is a bug, but maybe you will convince me there is a way:Thank you in advance for any idea/solution.BR,David
