Planned Revenue on Project from Sales Contract

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hi,  (IFS Cloud - 24R2)

I have a Sales Contract Item that’s linked to a Project Activity. I want the Revenue from this line to appear on my Project Activity as Planned Revenue. I can see the below from the Help Pages - my question is which posting control linked to this set up? The help page is not too helpful at specifying.

I must say you have done almost all the setup, yet you miss the project dimension in the posting setup.

I have attached a screenshot of the PRJI setup and an excel for the AFP ones.

Think this will sort your issue, please note that if you use Report Code as posting control, you have to have a value on these lines, but looking at your extensive setup you've got that covered.

Dependent on the invoice settings (certify/direct invoice) you have to setup the posting types AFP%;PRJI%. And the checkbox “Report Planned Revenue” should be marked on the sales contact revision. It does this automatically when the revision is set to “Active”, but if you want it earlier you can mark this yourself.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Marten.

My Sales contract invoice settings is set to Progress, Report Planned Revenue was also set to true on the Revision, Revision is also active.

Do I need need to set up the  AFP%;PRJI% Posting Types if my Valuation Method is Progress?

Mainly the invoicing method is key. But yes, you have to setup the AFP and PRJI posting types with these settings.

Hi Marten - thanks for the above. Really appreciate it. I’ve done more testing and can’t seem to get this working still! Your thoughts would be appreciated.

TEST 1

Update Planned Revenue and Revision Active.

Revenue Activity Sequence and Report Code Connected to Sales Contract Item

Sales Contract set up: Direct Invoice

Project Activities are Linked to Sales Contract with Valid Report Codes

Posting Controls set up for PRJI%

Same for AFP%

Revenue Cost Element set up

Linked Accounts and Revenue Element

HOWEVER, still no Planned Revenue appearing :(

The Costs are pulling through ok with Material Reqs and Sub-Contracts etc. Just the Revenue isn’t working.

Have I missed anything here?

TEST 2: Defining a Fixed Value against the posting controls and then update project connections and planned revenue on the sales contract to attempt to pull through Planned Revenue on to the Project.

As before, still no Planned Revenue appear on our Project!

If you got this far, thanks for reading! ;) Any help would be greatly received.

Thanks

Tom

Thanks for your help Marten. Further testing confirmed that the PRJI and AFP Post Control were missing along side a couple of other Cost Element to Account Mappings. Best answer!
