When you activated Supplier Warranty on the Work Order before you book cost (time, material) on the Work Task the additional Sales Lines will be created and works fine.
But when you want activated the Supplier Warranty, later into the proces when already cost are booked like time & material, there will be No additional Sales Lines created.
Is there a possibilty to add Supplier Warranty when the Work Order/Work Task is on the status Work Done and aslo create the additional Sales Lines on IFS Cloud 24.2.3

Hi Hans,

You can add the supplier warranty to the WO when the work task is work done and time is reported. Whether you add supplier warranty or not after time reporting sales lines should be created in the work task. That is the standard functionality. Please go through this test plan, you can see that the sales line will be created.

  1. Create a WO.
  2. Create a work task.
  3. Add a resource.
  4. assign a work.
  5. Complete the work assignment
  6. Report time.
  7. Go to time report tab, and authorize.
  8. Go to sales line, you can see the sales are added. Make sure add a customer to the WO.

Regards,

Thilina.

I have create Workorder 398 with Work Task 602 and and activate the Supplier Warranty after the time reporting with authorisation.
And there is only 1 Sales line created , see screenshots.

I have created a new workorder 399 with Work task 603 and add resorce and assign work.
Before the time reporting I activate the Supplier Warranty.
Do the time reporting and there are 2 Sales lines created, see screenshot.

My conclusion is when you activate Supplier Warranty you must do that before you report time.
But the behavior should be that you can activate Supplier Warranty when the Work Order haves the status done and that there 2 Sales Lines will be created.
See the help text of Warranty.

Please could advise to set this up.

Regards

Hans

Hi Hans,

After completing the work, adding to the supplier warranty is not enabled in the work task. And Also you cannot add the supplier warranty after work is done in the work task.

However, you can add the supplier warranty to the work task before work done.
After time reporting there will be 2 sales lines created. One for the resource and one for the supplier warranty.

In the supplier warranty, you can untick this personal cost. Then after time reporting in the work task sales will not be created for supplier warranty in the sales tab. If the personal cost is enabled in the supplier warranty, there will be always a sales line for the supplier warranty.

I hope you get a clear understanding.

Regards,

Thilina.

Hi Thilina,

When I,m understand it correct, the Supplier Warranty on the work task need to be enabeld before the time reporting, otherwise there will be no 2 sales lines created?

Hans

Hi Hans,

As I mentioned, to create 2 sales lines, “personal cost” should be enabled in the supplier warranty. The supplier warranty should be enabled before completing the work task.

Thilina.
