Hi,

For one of my clients, I have standard tasks set up as follows:

  • 1 or more demand lines linked to a resource group: Service All

  • 1 or more demand lines linked to a resource group: (Vehicles...)

The client expects that some of the listed skills are necessary to perform the job, but it is enough that at least one or two of the required people have those skills or a combination of them. For this reason, I was thinking of using "Share with Corequisite."

The request is as follows:

  1. Request for 2 people in the Service All group, and of those, at least 1 person should have the following skills:
  • 000000020

  • st00000009

  • st0000009

  • Team Leader (Caposquadra)

  • Maintenance of Hydraulic Parts Level 3 (maint Org Idraulici lev 3)

  • Maintenance of Hydraulic Parts Level 1 (maint Org Idraulici lev 1)

  • Crane Operator Skill 1 (skill Gruista lev3)

  • Crane Operator Skill 3 (skill Gruista lev1)

  • Only 1 person with certificate: 00000008

Skill combinations should not be assigned, for example: Crane Operator Skill 3 and Maintenance of Hydraulic Parts Level 3. However, I tried using "Share with Corequisite" for everything, but unfortunately, the system doesn’t allocate anything to me.

For this reason, I tried to investigate how "Share with Corequisite" works, setting up the standard task in the following way:

My expectation was to allocate this task by trying to:

  • Assign 1 person with Crane Operator Skill 3 (Gruista lev 3) and Maintenance of Hydraulic Parts( Maint organi idraulici) Level 3.

  • Assign 1 person with Crane Operator Skill 1( Gruista), Maintenance of Hydraulic Parts (Maint organi idraulici) Level 1, and certificate 00000008.

  • The rest of the required skills can be present in either Demand 2 or Demand 3, as long as at least one of the selected people has that skill.

  • Assign 1 person from the Automezzi Resource Group with the required skill.

Given the following scenario and the certainty of having the resources to meet the different demands, the PSO allocates nothing:

Task 836: unallocated

I delete the line with Resource Group: "Automezzi..." and the PSO successfully finds an allocation:

I then insert a new demand line on task 836 identical to the one I deleted earlier:

Then PSO finds an allocation:

From my perspective, the problem seems related to "Share with Corequisite," although I don't understand why.

In a scenario where "Share with Corequisite" is set to "NO," allocations between different resource groups happen automatically while still respecting the skill constraints.

Has anyone encountered a similar case?
Can anyone help me better understand how "Share with Corequisite" can be used to meet my client's requirements?

Thank you very much for your support.
