Issue Summary

When Reporting Picking on a Shipment, IFS is seemingly randomly changing the Handling Unit ID associated with a Shipment Line.

The issue occurs approximately 1-2 times a month and we can’t understand the cause and therefore unable to recreate the issue the test environment.

Issue Detail

2 Shipments have been processed on 10/1/25 for the same Qty of the same Lot Batch of a foods.

Part Description: LAVANDA F  214581

Lot Batch: 49121/24

Qty: 25KG

Original Handling Unit ID: S25KG (1 container)

The Inventory Transaction History shows the following:

On Shipment ID: 61259, the Report Picking correctly Issued / Received / Shipped the 25kg in the Handling Unit 728221.  Working as expected.

However, on Shipment ID: 61258 which was processed 15mins earlier, between the PICK-IN and OESHIP Transactions, the Handling Unit ID has been changed from 1 x S25KG (728220) (1 x 25kg Steel Drum) to 250 x A100G (250 x 100gram containers).

We’d like to understand what triggered the Change Handling Unit on Shipment 61258.  I can confirm both Shipments 61258 & 61259 were processed by the my self followed the same steps to Create Pick List and Report Picking.

Hi Community Users

Thanks for your feedback, as per the investigation conducted on inventory transactions history records, it was observed that part 214581 which has been packed under handling unit type S25KG had been changed to handling unit type A100G. As per the transactions, this has happened prior to executing the delivery from the shipment. Since this happened randomly, we fairly believe this might have been caused by end-user unintentionally.

Best Regards,

Chanuka
