Is there a way to track a user acknowledging review of a new document revision?  We store our procedures in Doc Management.  When we revise a procedure, we need a method to track that users have been given the new procedure and have read it.

We are in Apps 10 UPD9.

@TosohLBlum you could see whether document distribution functionality serves for this purpose.

when you revise the document, you can distribute the document to an individual person or for a person group, from the document revision or document revisions page. Select the documents and start the document distribution assistant. Also by setting up an event action to trigger an email, the user will get notified via an email. Then in APP10 in the Document Distribution history page they could refer the distributed document and Mark it as Read. Also there is an approve option as well. Then the document owner could go and check whether the required persons have read the new revision.

@TosohLBlum I would also recommend investigating the use of the File Operation Log to track READ/WRITE/DELETE operations on document files. This could assist in better tracking of a user having viewed the file, as an entry will be made here when the file is copied to the TEMP folder in their checkout path.

You can even set up an event action on file reads or writes.
