Hi Team,


We are performing a Release Update (24R2) on the Release Update Studio. However, if the update is left incomplete for some reason and remains unfinished until 2025, when the Cloud team releases version 25R1, would it be possible to skip the incomplete 24R2 update and directly perform a Release Update to 25R1? Or would it be impossible to perform the new Release Update (25R1) unless the incomplete Release Update (24R2) is either completed or reverted? Thanks!

Hi ​@feng , You’ll have to perform the below steps.

  • Reach out to the IFS Support Team

    • Request a rollback of the changes made in the current release-update process.
    • Ensure they clean up the branches and tags related to the release update in the customer solution repository.
    • Ensure they clean up the build artifacts generated from the sanity/delivery builds from the release-update branch

  • Discuss with the IFS Sales Team

    • Review the previously created sales quotation for 24R1 and align on any necessary updates.

  • Restart the release update process once the above steps are completed.
