If I upload a document with the aim to throw paper copy away, what are the chances of the document not being backed up?

What if it crashes? How often do we do backup?

It should depend on your backup and recovery strategy. The IFS Cloud product itself doesn't do any backups. It's done by other tools from the outside, by for example an IT department.

I would consult with your DBA regarding that.  We do a full RMAN backup daily of our Production database.  That’s been the case at most of the places that I have seen; daily full backups seem to be fairly standard.

Hi Mathias,

Thanks for your response. I got another question related to your answer, what if the client is on IFS managed services and if they are using file storage as the document repository.
