A customer just upgraded from 23R1 to 24R1 and during an audit of Oracle accounts and there was one account that was questioned, DOCMAN_ESIGN_USER. I cannot find any information on this account in our technical documentation. It appears to have been created by 24R1.  It sounds like it would be connected to new Digital Signatures functionality, but there is no info on it.

What should i recommend my customer to do with this account? What is it used for?

@Malin Norgren I would assume that user is used for integration with Adobe Sign service.

More info about this functionality could be seen in the below YT video. There’s nothing mentioned about the new DB user in any of the documentation I’ve seen.

@Mathias Dahl Mathias, do you know what this new account is used for? Can it be disabled if not used?

It's for what @Marcel.Ausan said 😀💪🏻

You can disable it if you are not going to use our Esign solution.

This is not a very "real" user, it's more of a system user than anything else. No end user definitely.

How exactly is the user used? Is it used by the pod? Or what is the purpose of it on a technical level?

It's used by the ifsapp-docman-esign container when it needs to do some calls to the ODP.
