Hello,

As we began applying the Release Update 24R2, we noticed that a new component, WRKTSK, has been introduced as part of this release. Several APIs (entities, utilities, and enumerations) have been moved from the existing WO component to WRKTSK.

We have customized approximately 30 APIs from this list, and now we need to uplift these APIs from WO to WRKTSK. Could you please advise on the best approach to carry out this task?

While using the Impact Analyzer tool, we noticed that the results don't provide sufficient comparison details (screenshot attached for reference).

Additionally, we are unable to find a way to download all the core files of 24R2 to analyze how the WRKTSK files have impacted our customizations.

Has anybody experienced similiar issues?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,

Since Update Analyzer tool does not have capabilities like a language parser it cannot identify the fact that model is moved. So it is identified as the corresponding core file is missing in the target.

If you have already applied the 24R2 release at least to the customer baseline repository you can download the core code as a zip file using the “IFS Cloud Core Code” button Infront of customer baseline repository url. But if you haven’t applied it yet to the customer baseline repository there is no place in the ALE portal to download the 24R2 core code. I am not aware whether that is possible from somewhere else.

 Best Regards,

Vindhya

Hi @hamalk  and @Vindhya Thanks for your responses, we have received same response from another team that we can download the core files from Customer baseline repository. I was looking for suggestions as well what are the best practice to merge the customization done on old Component and new component, when old component is deleted from the solution.

Regards,

Gaurav

We are in the middle of Release update From: 23R2SU9 TO: 24R2SU3

And specifically, in the “Apply Release Update to Customer Solution Repository and Customization Uplifting Process” step, Following this LINK steps …

  • Done with modification to the solutionset.yaml  updated with our custom modules.
  • And have no translations so nothing to do with  translation.usage.json .
  • Then ordering a “Order Baseline Environment” completed successfully.
  • When ordering “Order Topic Environment” it FAILS which is totally understandable and reasonable because the Customer Solution still has errors, and I do this step to get the Topic Creation Log to address these errors.
  • Now trying to open the Customer-Solution Project in the Developer Studio I do need to reference to the CORE Project Files. and here is my issue “IFS Cloud Core Codes” the one beside the “Customer Baseline Repository” contains nothing. It should contain the CORE Code downloadable file for 24R2SU3.
  • As per my understanding, I should NOT create a PULL Req. and get it approved till I get all errors Fixed and Get a Completed successfully Order Topic Environment.
Release Update Studio

So, can you please advise how to get the 24.2.3 Core Code Files? Is there anything I missed or could be messed during the previous steps? Anything to check to make sure the process is taking in the right path?

Thank you so much in advance and your ASAP reply is appreciated.

Waleed
