In Apps 10,

What is the impact of changing time zone offset value for a site?

Is there an impact to inventory transactions, planned customer orders, purchase orders and shop orders?

@Manoj Balasooriya just to add on what @Piyal Perera mentioned.

If you change the timezone offset at Site level, then all the Inventory Transactions will consider the timezone offset.

Let’s assume your IFS environment is hosted in Europe and you have companies/sites in US as well. If you don’t set the Timezone Offset for the US sites, then the inventory transactions will be recorded in EU timezone. This might be an issue with transactions created in the last day of the accounting period and these transactions might get pushed into the next period due to the 7-8 hrs time difference between EU and US.

Hi @Manoj Balasooriya

If you want the number of hours on your site to differ from the time in the database, then you can define the value. This functionality will soon be obsolete with the new time zone development functionality. With new functionality. The new functionality will consider the working time zone, browser time zone, Site time zone, and Server time zone and synchronize seamlessly when required.

regards,

Piyal
