Our Engineering team is trying to enter technical drawings for parts and then find out where other users can access them in IFS.  For example, where can a Buyer see the drawing to send to a supplier?  Where can the Shop Floor see the drawing for specs etc in production?

You can use the page Technical Drawing to reflect the actual drawing in IFS Cloud. The Drawing No (the header) is then linked to the Part (master part/part catalog or engineering part), the revision of the drawing is then linked to the revision of the part.

You connect the actual drawing as a document or media attached to the revision of the drawing.

If you now create a shop order using this part revision, the document attached to the drawing revision will become visible for the shop order from the Shop Floor Workbench page and the Operation Guide. (The reason the documents becomes visible here is due to default object connection transformations.)

In a similar way it will also become visible from the purchase order line.

I hope this helps :)

The drawings can be seen in the places/ objects where you connect them. In some cases, you will automatically see documents connected if they are connected on a related object.

Do you know how to attach an existing document to an object from Attachments / Documents?

Thank you.  I do know how to attach a document, but are you saying that if Engineering connects a technical document in one place it does not flow over to any other screens related to that part?
