We currently run the print agent from APPS8 and have run into many problems. We suspect that it has to do with the version of windows server we are using (2019). It used to run fine on WinServer 2008, but due to security reasons we have been forced to move to WinServer 2019. They want us to move to a more current version but I fear the problems will persist, or even get worse.
The first printer defined on the APPS8 agent prints fine. Other printers defined in the config file, create a file with the name of the last printer port defined. I suspect if we could use the newer .NET print agent, it would not have the same problem. However, I don’t know if it would be compatible with APPS8, or if there is even a way to get it without having APPS10.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
