Question

Manufacturing costs for purchase part

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Hello All,

My customer has a problem because he sometimes manufacture purchase parts but the manufacturing cost is not considered to valuate parts : buckets ‘200’ Labor and 300 ‘Machine are missing (even missing on the shop order itself)

Settings of inventory part:

part type = puchase

Inventory valuation method = Weighted Average

Does someone knows if it’s normal in IFS? Is there any possibility to consider these cost buckets to valuate properly the parts received into stock

Thanks in advance :)

Antoine

I think you need to use a Cost Template that includes both the purchase and manufacturing cost buckets for such part. you can still choose to only consider the purchase cost when the part is calculated.

Hi thanks for your quick answer :)

I tried to tick the boxes in the cost template in order to consider manufacturing costs but it didn’t worked as expected,

I will try to create a customized cost template, i think i’ve no other choice
