Hi There

Currently we don’t have VAT implemented for our existing companies and we are planning to create a new company which has VAT.. Does this have any negative impact on the existing companies ?

Thanks in Advance

Hello,
The process of generating a new company doesn't have any influence on the existing companies.
You can generate a new company.

@Pawel Dworzynski Thanks Much for your quick response….Once again to confirm ,if we want to setup VAT on the new company ,it will not affect the other companies that have no VAT...Correct ?

The setup done on the screen Application Base Setup\Enterprise\Company\Company
only applies to one company. If you setup there a new company, the setup done for existing companies stays like it was before.
What do you mean by "we want to setup VAT on the new company"?

@Pawel Dworzynski We have multiple companies currently and none of the transaction (such as Purchase Order,Customer Order etc..) has VAT…...We are planning an entity in KSA which requires VAT implementation as well..

So if we implement VAT for this new company (KSA) does this have any impact on the other non VAT companies ?

Thanks

As I understand this correctly in companies where there is no VAT used - documents like invoices use Tax Codes without VAT.
Tax Codes are defined separatelly for companies. Than in a new company you can define Tax Codes with Vat and use them,
so they will not effect other companies.
